My Painting Practice

Painting has been a creative outlet for me since I was a child. I went through a classical eductaion with Anette Wessel with different mediums including acrylic, watercolor, pastels and sculpture. I started with more figurative work and turned towards a new phase of abstract expressions in recent projects.

My painting process has shiften to start with drawing shapes on the canvas with chalk and layering on mixed media of acryllic paint, spraypaint (with and without stencils) and markers to create new shapes that feel intuinitive to me without looking for beauty or meaning.

Recently, I aim to expand my process by incooperating more project based work (e.g. focusing on the topic or idea of time) as well as exploring media such as sculpture and clay again.
